Once picked up, the clothes are gently cleaned with washing agents devoid of added colors and perfumes—a considerate combination that aims to prevent allergic reactions and mystified looks from dogs who hardly recognize their owners' most chewable pair of slacks. In addition to offering convenience, the process is also environmentally friendly. Luna Laundry uses an AquaRecycle cleaning system that filters and reclaims 70% of the water used, a fact that earned the company a Sustainable Santa Fe Award in 2009.
