Big Mike really encourages you to push yourself and the workouts are awesome! Everyone else in the camp is really supportive and friendly. Great environment to be at the beach and doing the workouts in the sand and with sandbags.

Not your typical boot camp or instructor. Mike is motivating but patient & realistic, thorough, attentative, creative and fun. Give it a shot.

It's hard to oversell how awesome Big Mike's is. Would've never guessed that I could get up at 5:30, bike up to Santa Monica and then workout. But I've done it consistently for 5 months and it has changed everything. Love being barefoot in the sand, love being outside and not in a gym, love the variety of workouts, love Mike's attitude and encouragement. If you're on the fence, just do it. You won't regret it.

Prepare yourself by getting rest and eating healthy before, during and after Big Mike's Boot Camp. Resting and eating correctly before Camp will help you develop a good foundation from which to begin. During Camp, this type of routine will allow use endure the demands Camp will place on your body. And, after Camp, it is necessary to remain committed to rest/diet to retain the benefits you gained from Camp.

Make sure to come having built up your stamina a little bit before starting because you go from 0 to 100 with the workouts. There's no gradual build-up, you get in with the rest of them no matter where your level is in the program.
