About Fantastic Race LA

Fantastic Race aims to live up to its name by giving its racers more than a simple 5K ever could. Part scavenger hunt, part self-guided tour, the events send participants sprinting into the city in hot pursuit of puzzles and mystery sights. Like the popular, reality television Amazing Race for which it is sort-of-but-not-really named, the Fantastic Race sees teams of 2-8 dashing from one clue to the next, each revealing another can't-miss destination. Some locales may be on every tourists' lists, while others are as likely to delight locals as visitors. But all serve as a piece of the larger mystery each team is living—that of how to cross the finish line first and avoid not being posted on the Fantastic Race's hall of fame.

Such a fun day - really well organized! I did this as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday and we had the best time. Even though we've lived in LA for a long time, we saw more of the city than we usually do - I'd definitely do a different race by the same company again.

The race involved going to different venues, finding clues that point to the next place to go to. The clues could be very vague.

Be prepared to walk/run a lot and bring plenty of water...especially if it is a hot day.

If you want to actually race (i.e. compete to finish first), where your running shoes. My daughter (12 years old), who is athletic, had no problem completing the race (we actually won).

The Amazing Los Angeles Race was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend it even for those folks like me that live in LA but never really looked around. I will definitely be trying other Amazing Races as well.

We had a great time. The race was so much fun. Bob did a great job organizing the race. He was super nice and helpful. My husband have never to the LA area and it was a great way to experience a lot of fun stuff in a short amount of time. I would totally do this again and recommend this race to all my friends!

It really was not fun. We met at the park. Was given our first clue then that's it...other than being harassed because we hadn't completed the entire thing quick enough. Really was not fun at all. It was for my birthday celebration and nobody enjoyed it as it was just rushing from one place to another and annoying the businesses. They haven't bothered to make sure all the "way points" are actually still viable and work the same way as they originally did. I am referring to the big food court place they directed us to. Create your own instead of wasting your time or money
