The staff was friendly and welcoming. I was offered coffee and water immediately upon my arrival and several times during my visit. Clyde, my stylist (and the owner), was very nice and professional. I was taken immediately and didn't have to wait. He matched my hair color instantaneously without any difficulty. My roots blend nicely with the rest of my hair, and the color is deep and rich looking, with good coverage. My hair was desperately in need of a haircut, as it's quite long, and Clyde recommended that I cut it to shoulder length. I told him that shoulder length was too short and I wanted to keep some length. As a result he cut only about 2 inches from the length (my hair was down to the middle of my back). I realized as soon as he was finished cutting that I really should have had at least another 2-3 inches cut off, as my hair is still too long and grows fairly quickly. Since he had initially recommended that I cut my hair much shorter, this was not so much a fault of his as it was the need for better communication. Had I realized at the time that very little would be cut (I guess because I said I wanted to keep length), I would have advised him that I wanted several more inches cut off. Unfortunately as a result I'll probably have to have my hair cut again the next time I get my roots colored in 3 weeks, which is much sooner than I anticipated for my next haircut. I typically have my hair cut every few months, so to have to cut it again on my next visit is a bit early. Having said that, the cut is flattering for my face, and I received several compliments on my hair after leaving the salon. I have a few recommendations: 1) Place a large, boldly printed business sign up with the salon name in front of the salon. Unless a customer has been there previously there isn't any way to know where the salon is located. 2) Have a separate changing room rather than having customers change in the bathroom. While well lit and spacious enough to put on a smock, I felt a little uncomfortable taking the time to remove my top & put on a smock in case someone had to use the bathroom. 3) My personal preference is to have a strong, firm, thorough wash with a rich conditioner used in my hair (as I have dry hair) after my hair is colored. The woman who washed my hair was personable, welcoming, and had a fantastic memory. Her touch was strong and firm which I appreciate. However, I felt like my hair could have been washed a bit longer to ensure that it was clean after the color was applied.

The service, the people, the style were all very good. If it weren't for the price, I would most definitely go back. Beth was excellent. I already have a stylist that I've been with for years and a little less expensive. I would no problem recommending Hairem to anyone.

My experience with Beth was great. I have been back 4 times since my first visit. I am most impressed with the results and am even more impressed that she always makes time to fit me in to her schedule!
