About Ace Parking

In 1992, restaurant owner Carlos Kainz and chef Julie Guerrero first joined forces to open a tiny West Seattle bakery and café, a spot that quickly gained traction and outgrow its modest trappings. The duo packed up the winning operation and moved on to a larger space and a larger vision, renaming their venture Dulces Bistro & Wine and crafting an ambitious menu focusing entirely on Latin-fusion cuisine for dinner. Although Guerrero traces her family heritage back to Mexico, many of her dishes, including paella valenciana and boeuf bourguignon, show strong European influences. Unadulterated Latin staples pepper the menu, such as the green chicken enchiladas that serve as a staple in Mexico City and at Sam I Am’s Cinco de Mayo parties.

Paella was rather bland. I was expecting a bigger wealth of flavors. The onion soup was quite good however.

Personally I would have liked the food to be a bit more flavorful (spice in particular). Everything tasted good, just a little bland for both my husband and my liking.

Friendly helpful staff - But the decor is rather 'stark' - almost a big square 'cube' (as tall as it is high and wide) without much visual interest. Perhaps 'interesting' high-ceiling appropriate lighting ... TALL fabric wall-hangings, etc would be helpful.

While the entree selection is small, each dish there is very tasty. Also the small plates can be made to entree size.

Love ur new spot...food very good. Seafood crepes were awesome but the sides were a lil bland. Veggies tough and mash potatoes just ok.
