About Modern Pilot

Modern Pilot's FAA-approved flight simulator allows new pilots to gain the skills they need without risking their safety thousands of miles above the ground. The school, which provides enjoyable and efficient flight training for students to use while working towards a pilot's license, lies right in the middle of Seattle's Ballard community, conveniently providing students with a way to practice without hauling their biplane out to an Idaho cornfield every weekend. Students are taken through a number of flight scenarios in the simulator that cannot be done safely in an actual aircraft. Moreover, the FAA grants credit for up to 50 hours of training conducted in the simulator, making each session one more valuable step towards obtaining a pilot's license.
