SIFF is a great organization. The only problem I have had with them is when I have paid for the secret festival and it is such a secret they never contacted me on when or where it was. This happened two years in a row and lets just say I will not sign up for that again. When I did contact them last year they apologized and gave me the details but at that point the festival was just about over.

Membership's most useful if you buy advanced festival tix/passes or you go with any frequency to any of the 3 theaters operated by SIFF. I happen to live walking distance to SIFF Uptown, and so I see both first-run, special run, and festival movies there.

they have a free parking pass to park in a lot a block away. as a member, you get a five-popcorn punchcard. best of all, they get great movies--so expand your world and SIFF it up.

They're only open during the week and this needs to be made very clear. Otherwise, no issues.
