Established in 1892, Swedish Club is like a bite of Sweden in the Pacific Northwest. This nonprofit organization focuses on celebrating the Scandinavian heritage with an emphasis on Sweden and its colorful traditions. Since 1961, it's been located near Lake Union in downtown Seattle, and it has welcomed numerous prominent guests including King Carl XVI Gustaf. Swedish Club offers a variety of classes dedicated to many aspects of Scandinavian culture, including Swedish language groups, dance classes, and weaving classes .
