About Brighton Recreational Riding Stables

Brighton Recreation Riding Stables creates a picturesque environment for riding at a leisurely pace around 40 acres of green fields and arenas. The stable is part of the Brighton Recreation Area State Park, giving equestrians access to 18 additional miles of horse trails that wind through the woods. Visitors can learn riding techniques in group lessons or take their favorite horse out on the trails for exploratory day rides or sunset rides that end in roasting s'mores back at the stable. In the summer, kids can sign up for a weeklong camp where they'll get to know the horses better and maybe even learn some of their embarrassing middle names. Fall festivities include hayrides on horse-drawn wagons through leafy trails or nearby pumpkin patches.
