The doctor used eye drops to dilate my eyes which burned terribly and made my eyes tear up. When I told her that they are hurting, she reassured me that they are supposed to sting. It was more than a sting and I got sick for the next several days. I've worn glasses for more than 25 years and have had my eyes dilated for several times and never have they hurt this badly.
