Great place to get some quick history about the island and it's importance to sailing and lifesaving. Good for families, not too big and doesn't take too long. Kids will stay interested. You can then ride your bike or drive over to Surfside Beach and see the actual Life Saving Station highlighted in the museum. It still exists and is now a hostel. Great combo.
