As an acupuncturist with 13 years of professional experience, Shawn Jacobs has learned to augment treatments with a variety of supplemental techniques. Clients can request add-ons such as e-stem, a pain-relief method for which Shawn affixes mildly electrified clips to the acupuncture needles, intensifying the stimulation and resulting blood flow. Shawn also uses her Master’s degree in Oriental medicine to suggest herbal remedies for ailments or particularly bland teas, and can combine herbs and acupuncture to help encourage fertility.
