Though photographer Neil Stewart has spent nearly two decades flying all over the country to capture stunning editorial images for companies big and small, he's most at home in his 900-square-foot digitally equipped studio. This space allows him to connect more personally with some of his favorite clients: families and kids. Neil's family portraits fill frames with relaxed, natural poses, often caught in front of simple, monochromatic backdrops, and Neil's comfort with children is obvious as he captures wide smiles, budding personalities, and burgeoning backflip abilities. His wife, Tina, lends her makeup brushes to freshen subjects' faces for headshots and wedding photography.

Neil's full-scale studio allows models to instantly peruse their images and swiftly receive prints, although he also transports his professional lighting equipment to on-location shoots. After sessions, he processes images with Adobe software and makes sure they're saved in two places, so pictures are safe in case one computer regresses back into a calculator.
