About 59 Diner

Inside each 59 Diner location, friendly chatter ripples from booth to booth and white-capped servers scurry around dishing out retro classics. Recognized by the Houston Press as among the city's best in 2009, 59 Diner's made-from-scratch milk shakes and malts slide across tables in old-fashioned glasses before coating tongues in such flavors as mocha, fudge, and Oreo. Sweet sips offset savory burgers, patty melts, and all-day breakfast specials, which can also be ordered in pint-size portions for younger patrons. Meals transport tongues to the past, and jukeboxes release vintage tunes into the air, inspiring guests to try to catch their favorite notes inside empty glasses.

I like one of the chicken dishes. My boyfriend loves the meatloaf and the milkshakes. We would go more if you had a little variety. Add a few new dishes but you could rotate them out. Do a special menu for Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Add the dishes appropriate for those months. Keep the ones that do well and drop the ones that don't. The next season add additional ones to the ones that do well. Get the customers involved - get recommendations from them. If they recommend a dish and it is a success - they get a prize or help name it. But by adding a changing menu, People have to come in every season to try the new things. Don't remove the old things. You just need a little new flavor.
