We went for the "CowGirl Up!" female Western Artists show, and it was wonderful! Of course, since we were there we checked out the rest of the museum, and it's pretty neat, too. Try to catch the show before it ends in May,

Would we recommend? I marked YES but should have been yes and no if given that choice.
Generally a good and informative experience but with some serious caveats.
Read the fine print and where it says that special events are not included take heed.
Do not depend on the museum’s website to give you further information. Even though it presents lots of information on ongoing events it does not give any indication of increased pricing. And under the pricing tab there is no information either. Also do not rely on the open times shown during an event. CALL TO VERIFY!
When we arrived on the 18th of March we were informed that the museum would be closing at 3PM rather than the normal 5 PM closing due to the Special Cowgirl Up! exhibition. We were told that we could re-enter later that evening but at an additional charge. I told them that I had checked their website just that morning and there was no notice of the early closing. All I got was a reply of “we’re sorry.” Our out of town guests that we had brought with us were very disappointed.
