Cindy's mission is to make sure Grace Stables is a fun and nurturing environment for all visitors, whether they be horseback riding enthusiasts, beginning trail riders, or special needs children. The stable was named for Cindy's cousin Gracie, who was herself born with special needs, and inspired its therapeutic riding program and Child Animal Relationship Experience (C.A.R.E.) program, which both rely upon the natural bond between horses and children to help youngsters develop cognitive, fine-motor, gross-motor, language, and social skills. In addition to these special programs, the stable's horseback riding experience invites students of any age to participate in all aspects of horsemanship, from grooming, to riding along the surrounding wooded trails, to exchanging email addresses with the horse in order to keep in touch after the lesson is over.
