About National Air, Sea and Space Foundation

You don't expect to see a towering galleon coursing toward the shore today, but El Galeón Andalucía wouldn't have been out of place 500 years ago, cresting waves alongside other merchant vessels. Its a great attraction to visit for survivors of the Gasparilla Pirate Festival, and as the only galleon-class vessel currently sailing the seas and searching for the rumored second Panama Canal, the ship draws crowds wherever it journeys along the eastern seaboard. After dropping anchor at various ports of call, the crew welcomes visitors to board and explore the period-authentic replica's craftsmanship, which was recently featured in the NBC miniseries Crossbones.

I had a great time coming here with my family. I learned a lot and loved seeing all different types of airplanes flying around us. Will going again next year.

It's purely educational, but good and real fun. While they don't offer a tour, it's definitely something amazing to do!

The Tall Ship was amazing with the working replica of El Galeon. The crew were so kind with great information. The cast of pirates made the experience fun and exciting. Timing was perfect - we just studied the Pilgram's hard voyage in a similar ship.

There are a lot of stairs to climb up and down, unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Lots of great information about the history of Florida and how a ship like El Galeon fits into the history of Florida. Lots of great information about how the ship was made also. I did not know there was a recorded tour until we were leaving, I'm sure that would have been very interesting also. I would have liked more information on how the ship is actually sailed, more interaction with the crew. Worth the money though, as is!
