In 31 years of teaching and playing the game of golf, Cause & Effect Golf founder and instructor Gregg Downey understands the subtleties that can decimate a golf swing. A two-time NCAA All-American while playing for the Portland State golf team, Gregg parlayed his on-course success into a teaching philosophy that helps golfers understand how all the components of the golf swing are fundamentally interconnected, much like how all golf courses began as one gigantic fairway on Pangaea. At the core of the philosophy, in his own words, "identifying, focusing, and understanding the root element that can inhibit one’s ability to achieving their desired results." With proper identification of the root element, a customized step-by-step approach, and through practicing drills, golfers can begin to see improvement.
