The staff and waiters were friendly, nice, and overall great! My friends and I spoke to the Manager and Chef for 40 minutes about Indian and American culture. Thank you for a great experience! Of all the Indian restaurants I've visited in the valley, Southern Spice was by far the best! I'll definitely be back!

Terrible service, excellent food

Good Food

This was a very interesting restaurant experience. For the first time in a long time I felt discriminated agaisnt as a woman. Both my male companion and I ordered a beer. They brought his and not mine. I actually had to ask again to get a beer and they actually acted surprised that I wanted a beer. Then when they brought the food, all dishes were place right beside my male partner - as iff they were all for him. I felt like I should maybe play some subservient role and crawl under the table or something. Of course they gave him the bill too. The dinner was my treat, but I didn't very much like tipping very well since I have been relegated to a second class role. Food was okay but just okay. Nothing special. I would probably not return solely based on what felt like discrimination.

Add more than just onions and bell pepper to the lamb dishes. Why do you call your restaurant Southern Spice if all the south Indian dishes are off the menue?
