The Liberty by the Lake Festival is back for another round of family-style Independence Day fun. The party kicks off with a trio of races designed to jump-start the patriotism. A parade follows, complete with patriotic music and floats dedicated to America’s famous idols.

The festival kicks off at 4 p.m. with unique family entertainment, incredible festival foods, and live music. Those with a competitive spirit can test their mettle in salsa-making and watermelon speed-eating competitions. Finally, the closing event sees plenty of fireworks casting red and blue sparks at Stewart Creek Park on Lewisville Lake.
