The mattress is 12 inch's high. MUCH thicker than the one it replaced. I had to ask, was not offered, for a LOW PROFILE box for the base. Had I not gotten the low profile box base I would NOT have been happy. Otherwise great. Well received by the user! MUCH better.

Enjoying the new mattress. Delivery people called and wanted to come a few hours early but worked out fine. Was quick and easy all the way around.
