About Traverse City Hang Gliding

Bill Fifer has dedicated his life to ignoring gravity. The Marine veteran served in airborne reconnaissance for four years, and he has also spent more than 20 years sky diving and committed more than 35 years to piloting hang gliders. Ever since opening Traverse City Paragliders in 1985, he has helped students learn to defy gravity's pull, regardless of age or athletic ability. Extensive ground training and short practice flights from sand dunes prepare individuals to eventually soar above the 400-foot bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan.
