I think they are missing out on business at night. The service was good but not great. The food was amazing.

I like the food at Red Pagoda. I've been to the Commercial location and enjoy it. The service that we got from the downtown location wasn't as good. It took longer to get our food and our pho came before the appetizer plate and when we received the appetizer plate, the food was cold. We suspected that appetizer plate had been prepared first and forgotten so that by the time we got it, it was cold.

I was surprised by how cinnamony the pho was, however, if that's what it takes to keep MSG out of it, then by all means!

Excellent food but the service could have been better. However, the server seemed to be new on the job (i.e. still training) and so it was understandable. Server, though, was friendly and helpful so that was a plus.
