It's in a basement. It was a little stuffy but the service, and other customers made it a great evening. We went on Friday night, come as you are with Karaoke. It's just a hit or miss spot. I enjoyed.

Go during regular lunch or dinner hours. The late night menu is greatly limited.

The crowd is ridiculously ghetto. Of course with a name like Recessions, their target market is unemployed and under employed. People literally negotiated the price of the drink at the bar. All 'bartenders' were old men in their late 40's who seemed to own the place to. This means that they were cheap on alcohol. The place is incredibly unhygienic and unclean. I was there for about 2 hours, and the orange juice bottle was underneath the sink for those 2 hours. No refrigeration of anything whatsoever. Employees had no dress code, the only way you knew they worked there is cause they all had moustaches!

This place is weirdly remote and dingy in the heart of downtown, and not in a good way. I would pass.

The food was not good! I ordered mini crab cakes and they tasted horrible. I wonder if the meat was old?
