This was a really fun activity for my 11 year old daughter and I. My daughter loves art and painting, and I am a disaster at even stick figures. This was something arty we could do together. You pick a ready-made pottery piece and make it your own by painting it with the color palette you choose. I found it very relaxing and a nice bonding experience with my daughter. The owner, Dana, took care of us, and explained how to get the best results on our pieces. She does have a small friendly dog, Tuxedo, which could be off putting for people, because he does seek attention, but if you don't want to pet him or play fetch, he will eventually go back to his corner. We love dogs, so we didn't mind, and he contributed to the comfortable feel of the place. I didn't feel rushed, but I would recommend going in early in the day, because, depending on the piece, it will take a few hours. I did a mug with a few colors, and it took about 2-3 hours. My daughter painted a small dog which took a little longer, because there were more details and colors involved. Both pieces turned out fabulously though, and we were very happy. Even without the Living Social discount, it was a great value, but it's always nice to save some money. Just keep in mind that you will need to leave it to be fired in the kiln and then pick it up a week or more later, so you won't be able to take it with you. Unless they have a party or function going on, you can just walk in and relax. If you're in doubt though, I would just call to make sure. I will definitely go back again.

My girls had a great time painting their pottery. It was a nice time and we are looking forward to future visits (perhaps a birthday party?)
