The stylist who worked with my hair had very little skill as a hairdresser, and he also made me feel guilty for not walking in the door knowing exactly what I wanted. I always ask a new hairdresser what they would do with my hair and I will try it if it's something new and sounds attractive. He was critical of my "indecision" which was really my "show me what you've got"! It boiled down to customer service/social skills - and his were uncouth.
