Very moving experience, but not overwhelming. I spoke to Peter a museum volunteer, who shared his experience. It was a healing experience for me.

Very informative, emotional. We had a personal story from a volunteer who survived 911, that was awesome. We had a first hand account. At first we went to the National memorial which was the wrong place.

The tribute displays were wonderfully done. An EMT was there speaking and reflecting about the day, very emotional. They had some issues with the air conditioning which made it very hot while touring.

About 9/11 Tribute Museum

The 9/11 Tribute Museum, founded by the nonprofit September 11th Families' Association, blends the informative and the emotionally honest in conveying the events and timeline of September 11, 2001, from the perspective of those who were there – family members who lost loved ones, survivors, first responders, recovery workers and lower Manhattan residents. The Tribute Museum galleries contain videos, artifacts, pictures and interviews to create a moving portrait of the attack on September 11, 2001. Before looking ahead to lower Manhattan's plans for the future, the 9/11 Tribute Museum shares a personal remembrance of the victims, the unprecedented rescue-and-recovery operations, and the tremendous spirit of generosity and support that arose after the attack.
