About This Deal

The Art of Healing

As Michigan’s first Oriental Medicine Massage School, the Acupuncture and Massage School Of Oriental Medicine (AMOM) combines over 5,000 years of Eastern healing traditions with today’s advanced Western techniques to create something extraordinary.

Did you know that massage therapy dates back thousands of years, to ancient civilizations in Egypt, India, and China? These cultures believed in the power of touch to heal both the body and the mind. Fast forward to today, and science backs them up: massage lowers cortisol (the hormone your body releases when stressed) and boosts serotonin and dopamine—chemicals that make you feel happy and balanced. Pretty fascinating, right?

What We Offer

Swedish Massage

60-Minute Swedish Massage (with or without Hot Stones)

Originating in 19th-century Sweden, this massage technique is celebrated worldwide for its ability to relax both body and mind. Using long, flowing strokes, it improves blood circulation and releases tension.

Deep Tissue Massage

60-Minute Deep Tissue Massage (with or without Hot Stones)

If Swedish massage is like a gentle breeze, deep tissue massage is like the steady strength of a river carving through rock. It’s designed to work on the deeper layers of muscle, helping to ease chronic tension and improve flexibility. Modern studies show that this type of massage also speeds up muscle recovery and reduces stress hormones.
