About Atina Bar + Grille

Atina Bar + Grille is operated by owners Jessica Hale and her son and head chef, Hunter Hale. This family duo opened this fun, neighborhood bistro in September 2019 with a mission to create a casual dining experience serving quality, bistro dishes and craft cocktails. In addition to the great food, the restaurant offered a variety of fun entertaining activities like live music, open mic night, and painting night. The struggle was real during the pandemic and the mother and son team learned to be agile and adaptive creating new menus that would be more appropriate for take-out. As luck would have it, Chef Hunter trained as a sous chef in a ramen bar in Tempe while he was in college and has an energetic passion for Asian food. Ramen and rice bowls + take-out seemed like a good match. In March of 2021 the team at Atina decided to pivot once again and launch an Asian menu complete with 5 different amazing ramen dishes, several rice bowls, cold noodle bowls and more. This menu now is served side by side with a full bistro menu for those that are still looking for a great steak, lamb chops, salmon or house-ground burgers. Entertainment is coming back as well with live music every Friday night with plans to bring more fun events in the future.
