About Belle Chevre

Since 1989, Belle Chevre Creamery has racked up numerous awards and accolades for its fine cheeses, which include flavored spreadable Chevres (a soft French-style fresh cheese), Montrachet-style goat cheese logs, as well as Greek and Southern-inspired goat cheese creations. The rustic creamery is housed in an old cotton warehouse in the small town of Elkmont. The creamery offers guided tours, samples at the tasting bar, and a chance to meet our celebrity goats that help make the cheese by wrapping it up with their dexterous hooves. Tours are available Friday and Saturday. Please call for a reservation at 1-256-732-4801. The creamery is open for tastings and shopping Tuesday – Thursday from 10 AM till 2 PM.
