Step into the sprawling 44-acre farm at Blue Springs Safari, a family-owned wildlife park founded by John Mark Johnson, who started with just a single zebra and a wallaby as a traveling petting zoo before building out this permanent park. He personally constructed the enclosures and fencing himself. The park opened to the public in fall 2020. The park is home to an impressive roster of animals including kangaroos, wallabies, red ruffed and ring-tailed lemurs, a spider monkey, capybaras, an otter, a tamandua anteater, coatimundis, alpacas, camels, ostriches, antelope, miniature donkeys and horses, porcupines, zebras, water buffalo, yaks, bison, African Watusi cattle, and wildebeests, alongside farm animals and a bird aviary. For an even deeper connection, opt for a paid wild encounter to step inside enclosures and hand-feed kangaroos, wallabies, playful red ruffed lemurs, and even Mila the spider monkey, or meet Pym the tamandua anteater and Oscar the otter.
