We recently visited Chicago and this was one of the first things we did! So glad we went with the fireboat tours over the generic cruise ship type of tours. Laura was a wonderful guide and the entire crew was so so welcoming. We enjoyed a two hour long tour of the lake and Chicago river. Be sure to bring a sun hat and enjoy :)

Best boat tour ever. Small boat, great history, lake, river and north branch. Run by Navy veterans and all staff were great with a sense of humor. Highly recommend!!!

I was a former Chicago Architectural (Foundation) Center docent for 10 year, and have taken many of the River architectural cruises from several different companies. The guide, a retired engineer, offered a different take on the history and buildings with coverage of Navy Pier, as well. I highly recommend this tour plus it takes guests through the lock, though we had to wait because of a little traffic. The tour goes up the E/W and N. Branches of the River.
