It is recommended to book your trip in advance, especially for weekends and holidays. • Meeting Point You will meet your guide at Smith Rock State Park. Your guide will contact you before your trip to confirm the exact meeting location within the park. • Proper Attire. Dress in layers appropriate for the season and weather forecast. Wear comfortable and active outdoor clothing. It is recommended to bring an extra long-sleeve layer, even in summer, as shaded areas can be cool in the morning. • Footwear Wear sturdy and comfortable outdoor footwear suitable for hiking and scrambling, such as hiking shoes or tennis shoes. Open-toed shoes, sandals, and flip-flops are not recommended • Essentials. Water Bring a minimum of 2 liters of water per person, especially on hot summer days. Water bottles can be refilled at the parking area of Smith Rock State Park. • Food: hearty sack lunch and packable snacks are recommended. • Backpack: A backpack large enough to carry your water, lunch, snacks, and any personal climbing gear (shoes, harness, helmet).
