DO NOT GO HERE. We had an awful experience. Horrible customer service, filthy studio that has rats. The tool to blow glass (that you put your mouth on) wasn’t disinfected in between use. Dan was incredibly rude, barked orders, provided no context for what we were doing. The materials are old and dirty. We were only there 25 minutes before we were done. Good luck figuring out which piece was yours

This is not a business it’s located in a garage behind a multi home complex full of mice and poop. He is rude and unprofessional, it’s not a class, you basically just get to blow in a pole and I didn’t see him clean it once done, you have to come back to pick up your Christmas ornament. Because that’s all you can make, me and my baby made the best of it but it wasn’t worth the drive or the money.

Where else can you blow your own ornaments? That is pretty neat. This isn't a glass-blowing 101 course though, so if that's what you are looking for, you might look elsewhere. The approach was not what we expected and depending on personality style, may not be appreciated. There is no overview, explanation or tutorial. Instead, you jump right in and instructions are given in the moment. Without previous experience or understanding of the process this can be confusing. If you read reviews and still want to go, I recommend that everyone going watch a number of YouTube videos ahead of time, go with an open mind and no expectations. Also be aware that you will have to return another day to pick up the ornaments, since they need to cool overnight.

Wow. If you want to go to a hard-to-find messy/dirty studio, receive zero instruction, and yet get shouted at as he barks orders at you, go for it. And note that you need to go back the next day to pick up your ornament/paper weight…in case you don’t live in Loveland.

This class was awesome…I enjoyed the one on one class…I don’t see how it could be done any other way…thank you for such an insightful and enjoyable intro to glass blowing! Unfortunately I broke my foot shortly after my class and I wasn’t able to go back and pick up my ornament…hopefully I will be able to go back and pick it up another time!

About Daggett Glass Studio

With 28 years of experience in glass blowing, Dan Daggett knows how to carefully work with red-hot glass as it glows and twists in a furnace. At his Loveland studio, Daggett spins vases, perfume bottles, bowls, paperweights, sculptures, and platters, and he leads classes to share his craft with aspiring glass blowers. During classes, he introduces pupils to the basics of working with liquid glass and the required safety measures. While you’re in the studio, you’ll be able to take a peek at Dan’s own work—like artistic vases and sleek paperweights ideal for keeping kites from violating house arrest.
