A diagnosis will be made for the patient before performing the basic cleaning. If the dentist identifies after the oral examination and x-ray that a previous or different treatment is needed, the patient will be informed. IF THE PATIENT IS NOTIFIED THAT BASIC CLEANING CANNOT BE PERFORMED BECAUSE A DEEPER CLEANING IS REQUIRED OWING TO THEIR EXISTING CONDITION, THIS CANNOT BE DONE.
