The moment the paddle dips into the emerald green Colorado River, one is transported back in time. Paddle past historic sites of the 1920's era government project that gave life to the desert southwest, and visit a historical site along the way. Venture into the Black Canyon narrows to explore Emerald Cave for a total of four miles on the Colorado River.

Explore giant volcanic boulders at the opening of Black Canyon, where many paddlers enjoy a descent into the crystal clear, emerald waters of the Colorado River. Take a break from kayaking and explore the area while hiking up a hill to a historical site that will give you breathtaking views of the entire canyon. Then head to an additional stop on a remote beach for designated swim time and a catered deli lunch, while watching the wildlife drama unfold on both Nevada and Arizona shorelines. Be prepared to see desert bighorn sheep, osprey, falcons, bald eagles, and great blue heron in their natural setting!

Black Canyon is about an hour's drive from the LV Strip, located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The tour begins in the morning when you arrive at Willow Beach Marina in Arizona at the paddlecraft launch beach.

Kayak Distance: 4 to 5 mi

This adventure is our newest tour, and is sure to please. The tour begins when we meet up at the iconic Lake Mead, Hemenway Harbor. This tour lets guests enjoy the Boulder Islands that are surrounded by refreshing water in a surreal desert landscape.

This tour takes place in the evening, and the time will be determined based off when sunset is. We like 5:30 pm in the summertime. It’s best to time it when the air is cooler and the sun is about to set.

This is a leisurely paddle out to Boulder Island. Once at the island, you will explore, have time to swim, and warm up near the campfire that will provide the perfect backdrop for the best sunsets in the west! Feast on a catered dinner of your choice while soaking in the beauty that surrounds you. We will finish up the night by roasting s’mores, lighting up our kayaks, and peacefully paddling around the backside of the island as the night sky lights up with stars.

This 3-hour round-trip kayak tour is perfect for date night, a family outing, company team building, or any other excuse to have fun you can think of!
