Hotel at a Glance: Arizona Charlie’s Decatur Casino & Hotel

A short distance away from the neon-soaked Las Vegas Strip, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur Casino & Hotel fits right into this city’s entertainment hub. The hotel’s casino is outfitted with table games, more than 700 slot machines, and a bingo hall, while the hotel itself includes a number of dining options, from a steakhouse to an American and international buffet, where guests can grab a bite between games.

  • The two towers: The Klondike and Meadows Towers—where guests reside in spacious rooms—allow for easy access to the hotel’s casino floor and outdoor seasonal pool
  • Enjoy the various meals served at the Sourdough Cafe and PT’s Express, or grab a coffee and something sweet at Dunkin’ Donuts
  • Test your luck at the casino on classic slots like Deuces Wild and popular table games like Blackjack and Roulette
  • Experience the nightlife with a live show at Naughty Ladies’ Saloon or unwind with a frothy pint at Jake’s Bar or Elbow Creek Bar

Beyond the Las Vegas Strip: Old Vegas and Red Rock Canyon

It can feel like the entire city of Las Vegas revolves around the Strip if you never venture beyond that neon-lit corridor. But there’s plenty to see and do once you step off Las Vegas Boulevard. You can find a taste of Old Vegas on Fremont Street, where vintage signs and showgirls crowned with headdresses recall the days of Sinatra and Martin. Beginning at dusk, a canopy of more than 12 million LED lights erupts in a psychedelic light-and-music show every hour. For an aerial view, zoom down the center of Fremont Street on a zipline.

Nature puts on its own show at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, a landscape of fiery-red sandstone formations and limestone cliffs just 17 miles outside the city. Motor down the 13-mile scenic drive or ditch the car and strike out on any of more than 20 hiking trails that course through the region’s otherworldly topography.

Didn’t pay attention that I had booked two nights, so they took all of my things and were about to throw them away. Then one set of towels had visible stains on them.

Room was paid for & they claim we don’t have a reservation. Even after we provided proof of emails claiming our room was paid, we were told we had to deal with 3rd party. Poor Customer service.
