Tour Itinerary at a Glance
Follow your guide and discover the enchanting greenery deep within India’s Valley of Flowers on this nine-day trek from Bohemian Tours. After spending time in neighboring towns and watching a lively ceremony honoring the river goddess Ganga, you’ll hike through the national park, where you’ll be greeted by fields of perfumed wild flowers, rose bushes, and photo-ops galore. Note that airfare is not included with this deal.
- Day 1: Upon your arrival in Delhi, meet with your tour representative and transfer to your hotel.
- Day 2: Catch a train to Haridwar, then transfer to your hotel in Rishkesh. In the afternoon, visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and Parmarth Niketan Ashram, where you’ll see the Ceremony of Ganga Aarti.
- Day 3: After breakfast, head to your hotel in Joshimath and enjoy a day at leisure.
- Day 4: Leave for Govindghat—the starting point for the Valley of Flowers trek—then hike up a gradually ascending pilgrim trail to the camp at Ghangaria (14km trek).
- Day 5: Hike to the Valley of Flowers, where you’ll see a colorful array of rare wildflowers against a backdrop of snow-clad peaks, including Nilgiri Parbat (5km trek).
- Day 6: Head back to Govindghat, then drive to Joshimath, where you’ll stay overnight (14km trek).
- Day 7: Drive to Rudraprayag, then stay overnight.
- Day 8: Drive to Rishikesh, then stay overnight.
- Day 9: Transfer to Dehradun Airport or the train station to make your way back home or continue your travels.
