This 7-day tour from Gate 1 Travel takes you beyond Bourbon Street for a look at the blend of cultures that makes Louisiana unique. Stops in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette give you the chance to experience everything from Cajun and creole food to the art and live music in Jackson Square. In addition to guided excursions, you’ll have free time to laissez les bons temps rouler (let the good times roll).

  • Day 1: Arrive in New Orleans for a welcome drink and meeting.
  • Day 2: Walk the streets of the French Quarter and see Mardi Gras memorabilia at the Presbytère museum.
  • Day 3: Travel to Baton Rouge, where you’ll enjoy city views from the 27th floor of the Louisiana State Capitol.
  • Day 4: Try to spot gators on a swamp boat tour and learn about life in the region during the 1700s and 1800s at Vermilionville before heading to Lafayette.
  • Day 5: Visit the Tabasco factory in Avery Island, then return to New Orleans.
  • Day 6: Spend a free day in New Orleans before a cooking demo and a farewell dinner.
