Day 1 Welcome to Madrid, Spain! Arrive and enjoy your included round-trip airport transfer to your hotel, then meet your Travel Director at a first-night welcome dinner. Check in at Hotel Praga, or similar for the first of 2 nights.
Day 2 Madrid — included guided sightseeing tour of the city, featuring Avenida Mayor, Puerta del Sol, and Parliament Square, with a photo stop at the Royal Palace.
Day 3 Madrid – Coimbra — check out and visit Avila (a UNESCO-listed fortified town) and Salamanca (Plaza Mayor), then cross into Portugal via Guarda, the country's highest town, descending through the Serra da Estrela mountains to Coimbra. Check in at Hotel D. Luís - Coimbra, or similar for 1 night.
Day 4 Coimbra – Lisbon — morning guided tour of Coimbra, home to one of Europe's oldest universities, then check out and visit the Sanctuary of Fatima and the town of Obidos before continuing to Lisbon. Check in at Hotel Roma, or similar for the first of 2 nights.
