Day 1 Depart the U.S. ✈ — Board your overnight flight to Venice (VCE).
Day 2 Welcome to Italy! — Pick up your rental car at Venice Airport and make your way to the Best Western Plus Hotel Bologna in Mestre, the gateway to Venice just across the lagoon. Explore Mestre’s lively streets or hop on the tram into Venice for a first glimpse of the canals, then toast the start of your trip with a glass of Veneto wine at a local trattoria.
Day 3 Venice Area – Tuscany — Hit the road south through the Italian countryside as the rolling hills of Tuscany come into view. Check in to the Cignella Wine Resort, surrounded by vineyards, and enjoy your included dinner at 7:00 p.m. (drinks not included).
Day 4 Tuscany — Cooking Class — Enjoy some free time to explore, then roll up your sleeves for your included one-hour cooking class at the resort, preparing a pasta dish and a dessert.
Day 5 Tuscany — The day is yours to discover more of the region. Consider a trip to Siena, one of Italy’s finest medieval cities, with its fan-shaped Piazza del Campo and striped marble Duomo, then return to the resort for a glass of local wine.
Day 6 Tuscany – Venice Area — Check out of the Cignella Wine Resort and make the scenic drive back to the Best Western Plus Hotel Bologna in Mestre. Unwind with a relaxed dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 7 Venice Area — Make the most of your last day in Italy! Consider heading into Venice and discovering the islands of Murano and Burano, then indulge in one last Italian dinner.
Day 8 Depart Italy ✈ — Drive back to Venice Airport, drop off your rental car, and check in for your flight home.
