If departure dates show a range — how do I select my specific travel date?
On this page, select the date range that includes your preferred departure date. After purchasing your voucher, you will complete the booking form, where you will be asked to list your top three preferred departure dates within that range.
Are all travel dates available at the Groupon price?
Once you submit your preferred dates, a Weekender Breaks travel expert will contact you directly to discuss your options. They will confirm if your preferred dates are available at the Groupon rate or suggest alternative dates and any applicable surcharges.
How many hotel nights are included, and where?
The trip is 8 days with 6 hotel nights: 3 in Berlin, then 3 in Krakow. The first night is spent on your overnight flight from the US. You fly into Berlin (BER) and home from Krakow (KRK).
How do I travel between Berlin and Krakow, and are transfers included?
By train, which is included in the package. It is a daytime journey of about 7 to 8 hours on Day 5. Transfers between airports, train stations, and hotels are not included, and local public transport is at your own cost.
Is the sightseeing in the itinerary included?
No. This is a self-guided trip without a tour guide or group, and the sights in the itinerary are suggestions for your free time. Entrance fees, excursions such as the Wieliczka Salt Mine or the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, and the optional tours are at your own cost.
Are there any required fees not included in the price?
Yes. Berlin hotels charge a city tax of 7.5% of the total net room cost, payable at the hotel; Krakow hotels have no mandatory city tax. A fee also applies for carry-on baggage, while checked baggage is included. Breakfast is not included, and a surcharge applies for solo travelers.
