If departure dates show a range — how do I select my specific travel date?
On this page, select the date range that includes your preferred departure date. After purchasing your voucher, you will complete the booking form, where you will be asked to list your top three preferred departure dates within that range.
Are all travel dates available at the Groupon price?
Once you submit your preferred dates, a Weekender Breaks travel expert will contact you directly to discuss your options. They will confirm if your preferred dates are available at the Groupon rate or suggest alternative dates and any applicable surcharges.
What is the route, and how many hotel nights are included?
You fly into Munich and travel straight to Salzburg by train for 3 hotel nights, then take the train back to Munich for 3 hotel nights before flying home from Munich. The trip is 8 days with 6 hotel nights; the first night is spent on your overnight flight from the US.
Which trains and transfers are included?
Two train journeys are included: Munich Airport to Salzburg on Day 2, and Salzburg to Munich on Day 5. Journeys between train stations and your hotels, local public transport, and the journey from your Munich hotel to Munich Airport on Day 8 are not included.
Will Munich’s Christmas market be open on my travel dates?
Munich’s market closes December 24, and you are in Munich on days 5–7 of the trip. Depart by December 18 for the market to be open throughout your Munich stay. With a December 19 or 20 departure you arrive in Munich on December 23 or 24, with little or no market time.
What additional fees might I expect?
Checked baggage is included, but a fee applies for carry-on baggage. Meals (including breakfast), journeys between stations and hotels, the journey from your Munich hotel to the airport, optional tours, and hotel upgrades are not included.
