Day 3: Colours, Cliffs & a Taste of Madeira
- Start your day at Funchal’s vibrant Farmers’ Market, then visit the serene Funchal Cathedral nearby. From there, head to Cabo Girão for epic views from one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs. Continue to the picturesque fishing village of Câmara de Lobos for a taste of local life, and wrap up with a Madeira wine tasting at Blandy’s Wine Lodge. A perfect blend of culture, coast, and flavor.
Day 4: Mountains, history and the easternmost point
- Today is all about Madeira’s natural wonders and cultural gems. Start with a hike along the dramatic cliffs of Ponta de São Lourenço, then head north to see Santana’s iconic thatched houses. End the day at Pico do Arieiro at 1,818m, it’s perfect for catching a sunset above the clouds.
Day 5: The west of the island and the water wherever you look
- Head west today for some of Madeira’s most dramatic scenery. Start in Anjos with its bold ocean pool, then stroll the charming streets of Ponta do Sol. Continue to the Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse for epic cliffside views, then ride the steep cable car at Achadas da Cruz to a quiet, hidden coast. Take a dip in the volcanic pools of Porto Moniz and end the day at the black - sand beach of Seixal - wild, beautiful, and pure Madeira.
Day 6: Magical forest and 25 springs
- Today is all about immersing yourself in Madeira’s wild heart. Start at the misty, fairytale-like Fanal Forest, home to ancient laurel trees. Then hike through lush trails and past old lava flows to reach the serene Fontes Falls. It’s a peaceful day of nature, fresh air, and hidden magic.
Day 7: Farewell
- Your holiday is unfortunately coming to an end. Before you leave, if you have enough time, go to the Franciscan Church and, if time permits, stop by the viewpoint with the statue of Jesus for one last dip in the ocean. Get inspired with more details and photos on Worldee's website!
