Il Divo, the internationally acclaimed classical crossover quartet, was formed in the U.K. by Simon Cowell in 2004. The original members—David Miller (U.S.), Urs Bühler (Switzerland), Sébastien Izambard (France), and the late Carlos Marín (Spain)—brought global flair to their operatic pop sound. Their debut album launched a string of Top 10 releases, selling over 30 million records. In 2005, Ancora hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and their 2009 tour earned Billboard’s Breakthrough Award. After Marín’s passing in 2021, American baritone Steven LaBrie joined in 2023, continuing the group’s legacy of genre-blending collaborations and reinventions.
