What is Fairplex?

Fairplex is the 487-acre campus operated by the Los Angeles County Fair Association (LACFA), home to the iconic LA County Fair and over 500 year-round events. A unique public-private partnership with Los Angeles County defines their legacy:

  • History: Between 1941 and 1952, LACFA gifted 421 acres to Los Angeles County in exchange for a long-term ground lease. The remaining acreage is owned outright by the Association

  • Purpose: Fairplex is a versatile space for hosting events, fostering education, promoting agriculture, and driving economic growth, all while celebrating the best of Southern California
