The float is refreshing and good views. The only negative thing is the directions on the website. The GPS can't find the building. I finally called and got directions from a staff member. Good fun for the whole family. Would definitely recommend.
About This Deal
- What’s included:
- Optional bottle of water (depending on chosen option)
- Unlimited trips and use of the river shuttle for the day
- River shuttle rides from Rio Vista Park, which features pavilions, picnic tables, and a play park for children
- Each tube includes a tied trash bag for convenience; trash cans can be found in and around the shuttle pickup area
- Tube can be either bottom or bottomless
- Good from the booked until 5:30 p.m.
- What to wear: water/athletic shoes, hat, sunglasses
- What to bring: sunscreen, waterproof pouch/ziplock bag for items that need to stay dry, rope to tie tubes together
- Lockers available
- Items that can be purchased onsite include ice, coolers, refreshments and snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, googles, water shoes, life jackets, floaties, and more
- Prohibited items: glass containers, styrofoam (including ice chests, cups, containers, plates, floats, and kickboards)
- Alcohol is allowed in the river but prohibited in the parks
- The lid of the ice chest should be kept latched and secure
- Dogs must be kept on leash
- Transportation: onsite parking available; visitors are asked to only park in the designated areas
- Motorized vehicles are not allowed on trails
- Wildlife and habitat is protected
- Proceeds from the rentals support the Lions Club, which provides charities and provides students with educational opportunities

About San Marcos Lions Club
San Marcos Lions Club originally began during the 70s out of a cattle truck with a portable air compressor and recycled automotive tubes. They would show up about 10 on the weekends and rent tubes out of a truck behind Joe’s Crab Shack. The number of rentals has grown since and now customers can also enjoy a day outdoors in cool water and with loads of fun.
