WinterFest begins Friday, November 27, 2026. The park transforms for WinterFest, its holiday festival, on select dates from November 27 through January 3. Visits before November 27 are regular park operating days, not WinterFest.

WinterFest brings the Bay Area's brightest holiday celebration to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Millions of twinkling lights, five themed holiday areas, live entertainment and seasonal treats join the park's rides and animal experiences. Write a letter to Santa, then meet him at St. Nick's Pics for a holiday photo, decorate a holiday cookie, or toast a s'mores kit. Sip hot chocolate in a souvenir mug with refills, try seasonal favorites from the limited-time WinterFest menu, then browse seasonal gifts for everyone on your list. Select rides and attractions operate during WinterFest, weather permitting.
