Tacos, beer, and running. While not exactly a sacred triumvirate, these are all the ingredients necessary for a wildly festive weekend, thanks to the aptly named Tacos & Beer 5k. Held in Marina Green Park in Long Beach, the annual event celebrates Mexico's holiday with a festival of food and fitness. It all starts with the 5K, though that's only the tip of the proverbial cactus. Runners completing the course are rewarded with two tacos and a beer—not to mention a crafted medallion, t-shirts and a day packed with themed activities.
