Young The Giant Wilderado at Pacific Amphitheatre
Orange County’s own Young the Giant burst out of Irvine with a sweeping, genre-blending take on indie rock that quickly set them apart. Formed by Irvine High School friends Sameer Gadhia, Jacob Tilley, Eric Cannata, Payam Doostzadeh and François Comtois, the band put college on hold to pursue music full time—and the bet paid off. By 2009, they were opening for Kings of Leon and turning heads at SXSW, soon signing with Roadrunner Records.
Since then, Young the Giant has carved out a distinct voice in alternative music, known for soaring vocals, dynamic live shows and hits like “Cough Syrup,” “My Body” and “Superposition.” This hometown show is more than just a performance—it’s a return to where it all began.
